Deanna's Just For Fun Girl in The City Asheville Portrait Session by Asheville, NC Portrait Photographer

It is such a beautiful day outside and I am just SO happy that the weekend is finally here, I therefore find it very fitting that today I get to share part two of Deanna's Just For Fun Portrait Sessions (if you haven't seen it yet, check out her Part One Girl In The Country Session here: http://gvhphotographie.blogspot.com/2012/07/feature-saturday-deannas-just-for-fun.html)  For the second portion of her session we decided to go to downtown Asheville and try to capture some of the ambiance and personality that makes Asheville the great mountain city it is! We started the day off by using some of the scenic doors, alleyways, and cobblestone streets surrounding the wonderful Italian restaurant, Vincenzo's, as our backdrops.  Then we moved on on to the areas surrounding the newly renovated Pack Square Park! The night ended at The Sky Bar where I had a blast capturing Deanna in a classic little black dress as the sun was setting over The Blue Ridge Mountains. The final images of the night are some of my favorites because they have a very "Old Hollywood," essence about them.  Enjoy!

Deanna's Just For Fun Girl In the Country Swannanoa Portrait Session by Asheville, NC Portrait Photographer

She's a little bit country....she's a little bit rock n'roll, but mostly she's just a whole lotta fun! Deanna's Swannanoa Portrait Session may quite possibly be one of my favorite sessions to date. The minute Deanna told me she wanted to do a session with me just for fun AND she wanted to take some pictures on her horse Skip...I nearly died and went to photography heaven! We started out her session by taking some pictures of her strumming on her acoustic guitar, swinging on the wood swing in her parent's backyard, and then we moved up to a field overlooking the scenic Blue Ridge mountains and captured some absolutely gorgeous shots of her riding Skip. I can't take all of the credit for how the portrait session turned out though, my beautiful sister, Nisha Evoy, styled Deanna and captured the "look," we were going for perfectly.....oh and I MUST thank Skip for being such an excellent horse model, he only stepped on my foot once and even then he didn't mean too. :) Enjoy and stay tuned for part two of her session "Girl in The City!"

Abigail & Chad's River Arts District Maternity Session by Asheville, NC Portrait Photographer

Meet Abigail and Chad! Prior to their maternity session I hadn't met them in person, but on the day of their session they were such a blast to be around and we clicked right away talking about favorite bands, tv shows, etc...  We chose to do their maternity session in The River Arts District and I had so much fun finding spots to fit with the clothing and props they had chosen for the day. When I saw the adorably cute "Lily Kate," painting that Abigail had made for her little-one-to-be's nursery on facebook, I begged her to bring it to the session so we could incorporate it somehow into the photos! Chad spent the whole session trying to make Abigail laugh and from the looks of the photos I captured, I'm pretty sure he succeeded.  Abigail and Chad are going to meet Lily Kate any day now and I know they are going to be the most amazing parents!!
